How to walk the length of the Golden Gate Bridge

“Longer than I thought, but one thing off my list!”

How I did it: Found myself doing some errands in San Francisco today and after talking with my wife we decided to visit the bridge since it was such a nice day without too much fog.  I explained that I had wanted to walk the distance of the bridge before and she decided to join me.

Half way down on the first trip my daughter fell asleep in her stroller.  Which I ended up pushing the whole way and eventually gave up my sweater for her cause my wife thought it was too windy.  Surprisingly after pushing the stroller for a few minutes at a faster pace I wasn’t as cold as I thought I would be.

Took us about two hours in total, but that included some stopping and taking pictures.  Even ran into a family of about 20 who handed me 4 different cameras to take their pictures.

Lessons & tips: Put lots of money in the meter.  Parking ticket is costing me $30.

Resources: Had a GPS with me that recorded the trip, which can be viewed with the pictures here: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=247379

It took me 7 months.

It made me Happy
