A realty office in Bethlehem, PA had a recent break in where a computer was vandalize and the hard drive stolen.  One of the employees called Kevin Andrew Lutes who had previously worked on their computer before, to try and get the data recovered from the missing hard drive.  After 40 hours worth of work at $50 an hour, Lutes gave them every spec of data back with a $2,000 bill.  The owner of the company, who is also likely the only one in that town who doesn’t pack paint chips for a lunch made a call to the manufacture of the computer asking if it was possible to recover information from a hard drive that no longer exists. Upon further investigation Lutes car was seen parked outside the office on the night of the break in.I realize that times may be tough, but you would think if the guy works on computers, he would know about the inability to recover data from a missing hard drive.  Or maybe he was just playing on the non computer savvy people at the reality not figuring that out.[Via Gizmodo]
