I’ve gone back and forth about a girl for a while now. Last night I was talking with her about an issue she has been having with her boyfriend. She is feeling ignored and with him living several hours away it makes everything for her more difficult.
I gave my honest opinion and told her that if she is unhappy with how her boyfriend deals with her she has three choices.
- Move on and find someone else.
- Grin and bear it.
- Do something drastic, and pray that he will change.
I also explained that the last item was a bit risky, and she could loose him all together.
I woke up this morning to find that she has changed her relationship status on Facebook to “Single”, and her status was updated to say something along the lines of, “it’s over”. She left a message to try and chat with me but I had already gone to bed.
Later in the day while I was heading to class she left a comment on one of my status updates which implyed that she was still in a good mood. Then without warning this evening she asked me how I found her on Facebook, and then before I know it I am no longer her friend.
I haven’t met the guy she is dating, but based on what she has told me in the past they are back together and he is controlling her again. This guy has caught her talking to me on Facebook before and “ordered” her to say “bye” then get off.
I don’t know what to think but I did know she was with another guy, so I guess I should have known what I was getting into. I suppose that I had higher hopes than expected. It could also be too soon to tell, but regardless I am racking my brain more than I should be. Afraid she got back with the guy, and possible in trouble. I guess I need to be patient and see where this goes tomorrow when I see her in class.
Am I being a bitch or did I just screw up any chance by pushing her to dump this guy sooner?
