I never noticed it until today, but certain parts of my blog, mainly the administrative part has this little button on it.
Basically its a site discrediting Internet Explorer (IE) and showing you all the other browsers they have out there. I don’t use IE unless I have too. I will use it when adding new content to my page to see if it is being viewed correctly but that’s it. I use Firefox and have for a couple years now. The ease with the tabs make it more than easy to use. But listen to some of the comments this site has to say about why not to use IE.New York Times:
Ms. Sandlin is so devoted to [Firefox] that she has taped a note to her monitor warning guests not to click on the desktop shortcut to Internet Explorer. Do not touch the blue “E!” the note says.
USA Today
Using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Web browser to surf the Internet has become a marked risk, even with the latest security patches installed.
The Inquirer
The US Government has sent out a warning out to internet users through its Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), pleading users to stop using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.
eWeek
Meanwhile, security researchers are reporting a new vulnerability in SP2 that could allow a malicious Web site to deposit an attack program on a user’s system. The attack utilizes Internet Explorer’s drag-and-drop features and the Windows “shell folders” to copy an executable from a malicious Web site to a user’s startup folder, from which it would execute the next time the user logged on.
Now do you need any other reasons? Click the button above to read more. Or if I have convinced you use the one below to just go get firefox.
